I still remember the day the guy came into our engineering class at CU in Boulder and asked if anyone was interested in going to medical school. We laughed him out of the room!
But after only two years of electrical engineering work at Texas Instruments, I found myself wanting scientific work that involved more helping and more people interaction. I visited...Expand for more
four medical schools to discuss my possibilities, and all four soundly rejected my chances. PERFECT!
I re-enrolled at CU, picked up missing pre-med stuff while earning a Masters in Biomedical Engineering, and enrolled at CU Medical School in Denver(OK, it took me two tries to get in), followed by a three year residency. I was a student until age 33, and I loved it!
