Well lets see, MY story, well here goes: After Meadowdale, I attended Ron Bailie school of broadcasting graduating in 1977, receiving my First Phone license ( First class FCC radio License) with the intent of becoming a radio announcer, attended Bates Technical school in Tacoma in their advanced radio studies, during that time I was sending airchecks and my qualification to different radio stations in the country and working in the lumber industry and going to school towards my BA in communications, not getting any offers in the radio biz, so around spring 1978, I applied to work at the Boeing company figuring I better get some work to hold me until the radio jobs came around, they sent me to school to learn to work on airplanes, during this time still wanting to go in the radio biz, I had a lot of paperwork going to different radio stations and so forth, BUT then in June of 1978 I received about four radio offers, one was in New York City ( At WCBS) upstate New York Plattsburgh (WIRY), and one in California, AND KIRO in Seattle, KiIRO was looking for a board operator when they still played records before they went all news and interviewed for that job, then Boeing called me to start work in July of 1978, at that point I had to...Expand for more
