Life
Married (2nd time); 25th wedding anniversary in Jan. 2006; 2 daughters--21 and 23; Husband and I live in Moscow, Idaho (after a 20 year stint in Alaska--place our kids call home); taught school in Alaska, but currently working for the forest service as a civil engineer (became an engineer by going back to undergrad school at age 50:)--after a full career in science education); pretty happy these days; still very liberal politically--a Democratic Unitarian Universalist with Quaker leanings; spend my spare time outdoors--hiking, biking, running, garde...Expand for more
ning, sea kayaking when I can; indoors I like to cook, knit, quilt, and read novels; I love being in the mountains and on rivers; I wear no make-up, have very short hair, don't even own a dress, and my only high heels are my fire boots (like in forest fire fighting equipment)--just never did develop a lot of those feminine characteristics that were lacking back in my youth. And, believe it or not, my daughters are beautiful and quite feminine. I love living in Moscow, ID and have enjoyed recent trips to Puerto Rico, France, China, and most recently Peru.
