Louise's Story
Well gang, you may or may not remember me as the girl with the long red hair. It's still red but only thanks to my hairdresser. I have to say that I was not really a memorable person from Central, but I remember some of you once I saw your names again. This is cool.
Okay, so I married Chuck Steemers in 1979. We lived in Coquitlam then Burnaby. I graduated from Douglas College and became a registered nurse. Our daughter Kellie was born in 1983... all 12 lbs 8 oz of her! We bought our first house in Port Coquitlam in 1984 and lived there until 1990 having had our son Adam in 1987. He was a pipsqueak of a baby at a mere 10 lbs 1 oz. We lived in PoCo until 1995 when Chuck found a job he really wanted on the Sunshine Coast. Bought a lovely big house in Halfmoon Bay and our kids grew up there. Kellie got married in 2005 and she and her husband Kirby live in Port Moody with their 3 cats... hopefully human babies pending. Sechelt and he works as a prep cook at a very posh restaurant. Chuck and I spend some really rough years together and when it came time to sell our big Halfmoon Bay house, we decided to go our separate ways. We sold the house and divided the money. Chuck bought in the village of Sechelt and has a small mortgaage and is still at the same job. I bought near Davis Bay and I own my little place near the beach outright. I have been off work for the past 2 years on disability... back problems, the nurses plague. I am hoping to return to work in the next couple of months, though, doing something a little less physically demanding. When Chuck and I separated, we agreed that we wanted to take our family to Hawaii for a vacation, something we'd never have been able to do until we sold the house. So the five of us ( Chuck and I are now better friends than we ever were ) are heading for 2 weeks in Maui in November.
