I have been married to Bill for 46 great years and we have 3 Sons- Andrew 45, Michael 43, and Brian 35. .Now, as of 7-22 we have 2 grandaughters, Kayleigh 7 and Evelyn 4. and grandson Tytan now 18 mos. We have had many Golden Retrievers and cats over the years and our family really loves animals. Andrew and his wife Karen have a Lab mix and Terrier mix and Mike has 2 Pomeranian dogs, an Akita, a Tibetan Mastiff, 3 cats, and 10 snakes, Brian and Stephanie have 3 Chihuahua dogs. In October 2014, Andrew and Karen had their first baby-Kayleigh Anne and she is so sweet. They had a second girl in December 2017.. We love being Grandparents!! Brian moved to Denver CO 8 years ago and loves it. there. We get to visit often which is fun! Mike and Andrew live nearby about 15 minutes from us so we get to see Kayleigh Evelyn and Tytan often.
Profession: I recently retired in 2016 ! Have been an outside sales representative for several various companies over the years and still really enjoy it. I am definitely not quiet and shy any more! I was a Territory Development/Outside Sales Account Rep. for a large company and managed an expansive territory. (Business to Business Sales) I worked from a home office which gives me lots of flexibility and freedom. Got to travel often for training trips and company-wide National conventions- I also did quite a bit of substitute teaching in elementary and middle school when the boys were young, but decided Sales was my niche.
Hobbies: Photography, digital photography, videotaping, art, computer, sports, traveling, and working out at the gym.
I am gradually working on a large project converting 100's of our family & sports videotapes and 1,000's of pictures to DVD. Since Bill retired, we have had the opportunity to do more traveling and have been to Anguilla and Jamaica. Recently, we went to Hawaii ( Big Island, Maui, Kauai, and Ohua, ) May 2014 for 3 weeks. I won a weeks trip from my company for being one of the Top Sales Reps in the country and we took an additional 2 weeks vacation which was awesome! 10 cities in 7 countries. It was lots of fun and I took over 10,000 pictures! We visit Brian in CO a few times a year which is fun. WE love to travel and over the past few years: have visited 2 weeks in Turks and Caicos - beautiful beaches, 2 weeks in Cayman Islands, 2 weeks in Jamaica and 2 weeks in Anguilla, 2 weeks in Antigua. We take a family beach vacation in NC every summer with the entire family which is always lots of fun!,
We are a very sports minded family so I enjoy sports: working out at the health club, skiing, basketball, horseback riding,snorkeling, swimming, and watching sporting events.
All 3 boys, Bill, & I work out regularly at the gym. Bill (played BB in college) and I previously enjoyed the 3 boys' basketball games in high school and college. We still get to watch them play basketball and baseball in Adult Leagues. Mike-(psychology&animal behavior) had a full basketball scholarship to a large division 1 University. Andrew(Biology) played baseball at his University. Brian had the opportunity for several basketball scholarships but chose to attend Andrew's college; his favorite University and major in biology like Andrew. At 6'6" to 6'8" we have 3 talented basketball stars. I feel very short at 5'8" around here.
Bill is recently retired from Corporate Purchasing Management, Andrew in Medical Sales, Mike in Medical Sales, and Brian Outside Bus2Bus sales. Andrew and Mike live here in the same city and Brian in outside sales moved to Denver CO 8 years ago. We enjoy getting the entire family together often. We all love the beach and like to vacation together at the beach in N.C or SC.every summer.
After college-(degree in Psychology), I lived on the upper east side of NYC and worked as a sales trainer and outside business to business sales representative with a large NYC territory. Married Bill in 1975, and when the boys were young was a stay at home mom. We moved to suburbs in VA 26 years ago from suburban NY and really love it here. Schools, people, and weather are great! Bill was transferred with his past company back then and it was a great decision to leave NY.
