Louise's Story
After graduating from SPHS in'65 i joined the Navy. i went to Bainbridge,MD for bootcamp,Great Lakes,IL for medical CorpsWave training,then stationed at Beaufort Naval Hosp,SC.By then everyone knew me as "GIDGET". i was married to another medic.he was sent to VN where he was KIA 5 months later. God blessed me by allowing me to meet then marry Ron,another medic just back from VN.as of last month,we have been married for 41 years. we have 2 children,"Kat" and "Mac".Kat is a veterinarian and Mac is in Afganistan with a private co. ed,I from the med.field and Ron as a detective at LSU.He likes painting and woodworking.Ilike to read,garden,and make quilts. we live in Baton Rouge,La in a 1&1/2 story house (that his father built in 1950) on 3 acres of land. I don't like being idle,so i find lots of things to do. I hope to connect with many of my classmates through this medium. Friends are popping up from all over. i have my yearbook with me, but most of the time i already know what you looked like then.(it' that long term memory thing kicking in!) now if it would only work on short term,i'd be able to find things faster!!
