Lucas's Story
Life
Since leaving CHS, I changed my focus from an artistic to a technical career. In late 1993, I was introduced to the Internet through a former classmate and immediately took an interest in it. Since then, I become proficient with Microsoft based E-Commerce technologies, started my own business, and work as a consultant. I have had the privilege of working with such firms as Charles Schwab, Microsoft, First American Financial, Spectria, Pacific Life Insurance, and others.
After my mother's death in 1996 from cancer, I began to realize that my focus on friends and family hadn't been all that it should have been. I met my wife, Emma, in 2002...Expand for more
online (yes, we're one of those couples). Emma lived in New Zealand. We spoke online for nine months and then met in December of 2002. We were married on March 27, 2004, in Emma's native New Zealand. We lived in the U.S. for six months, eventually deciding that we preferred the lifestyle and scenery in NZ and relocated there in September 2004. I have managed to establish a small business here, with a few local clients. I still do some business in the U.S., albeit long distance, for the most part. We plan to purchase a home here, as soon as my residency in NZ becomes permanent.
Each day we live by faith and look forward to the years ahead.
