Lucia's Story
Life
I grew up in Pearblossom, Palmdale and Littlerock, living there until the end of my sophomore year. I moved down below to Alta Loma and graduated from Alta Loma High School. I married young, bought a house in Covina, and was divorced before I knew it. A few years later I married my husband (34 years ago) and we moved to Upland. He had three children from his previous marriage, one of which lived with us for several years. We adopted a baby girl in '84 - She is the light of my life. We now have four grandchildren and enjoy spoiling them and sending them home with mom and dad. I was active in ministry at Hillside Community Church in Rancho Cucamonga and I tought English at the local high school. I left the A.V. and never moved back although I still love the desert....Expand for more
We are very fortunate to own our home (25 years) and have a vacation place at Havasu Lake, Ca. where we spend many weekends throughout the year. I am close with my brothers and sisters all of which have moved from the desert to other parts of California or the U.S. I feel very blessed in the life I have. I love to run (I have completed 3 marathons and a half marathon), play softball, tennis, water ski and snow ski. I have tried snowboarding and wakeboarding and haven't gotten the knack, yet. We are avid Angel fans and enjoy watching most other sports. At fifty-nine years old I am very fortunate to enjoy good health and looking foward to many more years. My husband and I moved to Lake Havasu City at the end of 2012. I would love to hear from any of you who remember me.
