For the last four years most of us have been robbed of our peace of mind and denied some of our treasured traditional values by a few of our fellow countrymen who even during this season of peace and harmony bicker with each other. We are dumbfounded and left wanting for our government to have done better for all us. And nature has recently robbed us of our need to socialize to at least share the grief with our loved ones that has been inflicted upon us by a pandemic. With most of the country on lockdown and a whole lot of our brethren hurting all around us with no meaningful help from Congress to the families in need to see them through the hash times that still lie ahead, the season of joy in America this year seems all for naught. The words Merry Christmas and Happy New Year sound strange to say these days, almost empty. So, a toast with our paper cups of water runneth over to our politicians who, along with their loved ones, never have it as hard as the rest of the country. And while we're at it, let us remind them that for the last sixty years we’ve done what our country has asked us to do and that it’s time for our country to do for us. Cheers!

ndex finger across a meeting table at President Donald Trump’s general direction that went viral on the Internet seemingly telling the president to go to his room. I obliged with a requested donation that didn’t seem as overly arm twisting as others I’ve received over the snail mail. I regret it. I’m now receiving 30 to 50 unsolicited email letters a day from sources selling snake oil and other political party members asking me for a donation both referring to me by my first name as if we have been buddies for a long time. Political pleas are pathetic. They write that my donation will be matched 100%, 200%, 300%, 400% or 500%. By whom they do not say. But if that’s the case, I suggest the one matching my donation donates whatever and leave me out of it. I also think that political parties tend to make extra money on the side by selling email addresses without discretion to third party buyers. How else did an escort business get my email address? And, judging by their desperate incessant pleas for donations, they want us to believe that those that have the most money in their political trough more likely than not have a better chance of getting elected or pushing their agenda in DC; bucks over brains so to speak which leaves the government much to be desired.
