Hi everyone! Life has taken me for quite a ride! From living in Augusta, to the Boston area, to Worcester, MA., then to Michigan and finally to Georgia (2 times). We are currently living in Flowery Branch, GA (going on year 5). My family spent 2 stints in Maine; once in the Portland area and once in the Augusta area. Since my husband's job/business requires nationwide travel, Maine was a poor choice to have as home base (expensive/late/cancelled flights). So, we decided to move back to Georgia. I must say, it IS cheaper down here, and warmer in the winter, but the summers are HOT! Not a big price to pay, though, since my family spends at least 2 weeks in the Belgrade area during the summer. Life is a party when we are up there - lots of family and friends to see, and we always seem to run out of time before we run out of fun. In January 1996, we adopted a beautiful baby girl from Bogota, Colombia. Pat and I spent 7 weeks in Bogota; it gave us time to bond with our infant daughter as well as visit a beautiful country. Needless to add, our life has not been the same since then! Catalina is a Freshman (class of 2014) this year at Flowery Branch High School. She plays trombone in the marching band but euphonium in the concert band. She is also on the High School Swim Team, placing 3rd last year as an 8th grader in the 500 yd. freestyle at the Hall County High School swim champioships! She has added rowing (crew) to her activities this Fall. I am the chauffeur extraordinaire, taking her to and from practices (sometimes 2 practices at 2 different locations the same day).
