Lucille's Story
After graduating SPHS in 1987, I married Russell Sanders on 10JUN1989 we had our first child a son, Joshua Joseph on 30NOV1989 (who is currently a Marine stationed at Cherry Point, NC & is deploying overseas for his first time in JAN2011) and later a second son, Justin Jordan on 19APR1991 (who is serving as a Military Police in the Army). We divorced on 02MAY1992. I ended up in a relationship later with a man (whom I never married, but conceived a child with) and we had my third child with, a daughter Breanna Marie Burnham on 17SEP1995. Our relationshipo ended in 2001. In 2002, I ended up deceiding that my life needed a different direction, so after talking to a recruiter with the Armed Forces I thought I would try. My mother who has never believed in me, told me that they would never accept me so go ahead and try. This gave me the strength to pull every ounce of determination to succeed where I knew she thought I would fail. h Training Squadron's Female Dorm. I was also put in the position of Lead rope for the School House, in both of these positions, I supervised over 500 people/students on a daily basis. I graduated my training on 01APR2004 and returned to my base. I served my enlistment contract with the Air Force until 27APR2010.
In 2005, I met my current husband Jeremiah David after numerous trips to his autoparts store to pick up parts for my camaro that I was trying to partially restore into a drivable condition. We married 21FEB2007, I have two step-children with him, Daniel Scott Roberson 15MAR1999 and Emily Shae Brown 12SEP2000.
On 28APR2010, I was sworn in at HQ Stout Field Indianapolis, Indiana into the Army. That is what I have been doing with my life. Before the Military, I have done everything (job wise) from waitress, nurse aide, factory work, manager, babysitting, fast food, housekeeping, stay at home mom, full time student.
The Military did allow me the opportunity to further my education while serving. I have two degree's. One in Transportation Management and One in Information Management. If there is anything you want to know just ask?
