I am currently living in Tualatin, OR. I have lived in Oregon since 1969. My first husband and I divorced after the death of our son Brian who died of leukemia at the age of 14 months. I met and married my current husband Dan two and a half years later and we have been happily married for 39 years. I quit working in 1999 and retired from the State of Oregon in 2004. I was with the state for 22 years and for 17 of those years served as the Executive Director of the Oregon State Mortuary and Cemetery Board, an 11 member Board responsible for licensing and regulating the funeral and cemetery industries. I had a staff of five including an inspector, an investigator, and clerical and licensing staff. The investigative staff traveled the state investigating complaints and doing compliance inspections.
