Lucy's Story
Life
I've been living at Lake Tahoe since 1992 after I found a job in the newspaper industry while vacationing here. I am now retired from First American Title after working there in sales and marketing for over eight years. Both jobs gave me the opportunity to make lots of friends and meet many of the residents of this community. It also introduced me to my soulmate and fiancee, John, who shares my love of nature and the outdoors. John's from the east coast and has a vacation home in the mountains of North Carolina and so we enjoy the benefits of both parts of the country. We both love to travel and have been to South Africa, Germany, France, Poland and Italy together. r most of his life and loves what he does. Since my retirement I’ve been spending more of the winter months with our dogs - now down to one - in the mountains of NC because I’m a total outdoor nut… and the mountains (without snow) call me!! I thank God every day that I’m able to enjoy these two mountain lifestyles.., Tahoe in the summer and NC in the fall and winter. I do get a taste of spring in NC but leave before all the beautiful wild rhodies bloom and in Tahoe there is no spring. Sometimes snow for 4th of July!! And my days of appreciating snow are over!! Lol Besides, my dog Dixie is a Southern Belle and she thinks the best part about winter is snuggling up to a roaring fire in the fireplace!! Smart gal. I am a fan of “Life is Good” T-Shirts because that’s my motto too., second to “God is Good.” I was sorry to miss the 50th reunion but hope to make the 60th.
