Lydia's Story
From Notre Dame I went to Monarch Park Collegiate. Then to U of Ottawa, work, finally finding my passion in Training & Development. Back to school at UofT and Ryerson and now, this is my professional profile:
As a Senior Learning Consultant I have extensive experience in my chosen field of Training and Development. I have worked in the retail, beauty, manufacturing, telecommunication, insurance and financial industries, as well as the public sector, providing learning solutions to enhance employee productivity and job satisfaction. I have also developed training communication strategies and marketing initiatives to support new programs. As an Instructional Designer I have developed classroom training, blended learning approaches and e-learning seminars. I have built classroom based and e-learning courses for all of Canada's largest banks: Scotiabank, TD, CIBC, RBC, and Bank of Montreal.
A gifted Trainer, I have facilitated a variety of soft skill and technical programs for front line staff, Customer Service, Sales and various levels of Management. Training delivery was frequently part of a blended learning approach, involving e-learning, virtual training, webcasts, classroom time and on-the-job coaching. I am also bilingual (French/English) and hold a Canadian Federal Government Top Secret security clearance.
