Lydia's Story
Life
Things are going great! 2 adult children in college, another a Junior in HS and 2 in middle school. I have become active in the community again, working with the El Sereno Community Coordinating Council as Secretary. I also planned the 20yr reunion for WHS Class of 91.

Military
Well I was a Navy wife for 4 years. Isaac was stationed on the USS Abraham Lincoln CVN-72 from 94-98. He got out of the Navy because he didn't like being away from his family for long periods of time. I really enjoyed being a military wife. We had our first place because of the Navy. xchange closeby and for those that are or were in the military you know how cheap shopping at these place are! God I wish the markets were that cheap out in the civilian world! It was nice meeting the other wives and forming that bond/friendship...keeping each other company when our men were gone.
Isaac visited Hong Kong, Singapore, Hawaii, Jebel-Ali and United Arab Emirates during his 6 month tour of duty. Had they not had to stay 3 months in the Middle East, he would have visited Australia. When he left the Navy he was an SH3 (Ships Serviceman, Petty Officer 3rd Class), he had a lot to do with the retail portion of the ship (convenience store, barber shop, vending, etc.)
