Lyn's Story

Lyn is from Aloha, Oregon. Lyn is married (pending) with Ron Hadley. Lyn's schools include Norwalk High School. Lyn later attended Cerritos Jr. College (General Studies). Lyn works(ed) at Intel. Music Lyn likes includes Bread, Bee Gees, Patsy Cline - Nashville Legend. Books Lyn likes include Marley & Me. Movies Lyn likes include Macbeth, The Day the Earth Stood Still Movie, The Day the Earth Stood Still. TV shows Lyn likes include Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, Private Practice. One of Lyn's favorite quotes is:""With Faith In God and a Sense of Humor you can get thru anything" (Robert Lynch, my dad)". More about Lyn:"Married: Ron Hadley on December 16, 1977. Children: 2 children; 7 Step-children; 1 grandson; 1 granddaughter; 8 step-grandchildren; 3 step-great-grand daughter. Pets: 2 dogs Both Adopted, Sasha the pushy one, and Charlie the mutt from hell. I wouldn't trade either one for all the tea in China. 1 obnoxious cat. States in which I've lived: Montana, Wyoming, Colorado, Utah, California, Oregon, Confusion Places I've been: Spain, Caribbean, Fiji, Mexico, Canada, around the block a couple of times Three Things I'd like to do: *Go to Egypt. *Lose 15 lbs. *Sleep thru the night. Not necessarily in that order. Three Things I dislike: 1. Reality TV shows (except for Dancing with the Stars) 2. Pineapple on Pizza 3. Moody People Pet Peeves: 1. Mean spirited people 2. Sales clerks who say "Did you find everything o.k." Forcing me to say, "I wasn't looking for everything, but what I found was just fine! 3. People who let their children play with toys in the store and then...Expand for more
put them back on the shelf. It's just plain rude. If I wanted to buy used toys I would have gone to Goodwill. 4. People who base there opinions on a 10 sec. T.V. sound bite. 5. People who believe everything they read on the B.L.O.G.s Do they really believe that Rosie O'Donnell has all the answers? 6. People who gripe about how the government is run but won't get off their lazy butt to vote. Biggest Worry: I worry for a world that is rapidly taking God out of the mix. Secular Progressives want no judgements on behavior. Once they manage to remove God from the equation we're all going to go to Hell in a handbasket. There will be no accountabliity here or hereafter. God save us! When I look at my face in the mirror, I no longer count the gray hairs or the ever increasing wrinkles and crows feet that have taken up permanent residence there. Age and wrinkles are a fact of life that I have learned to accept. I count my blessing instead. Sounds hokey huh? I been married for 35 years to a wonderful man, husband and father. I can count the times we have exchanged harsh words on my right hand with a couple of fingers left over. We have a beautiful, large family. I have a great job. I live in a wonderful neighborhood, in a beautiful state. I belong to a strong church family and have a passel of amazing friends to travel and spend time with. My life has been full and meaningful and good. And thru the years I have a developed a better understanding of who I am,and the things, and people in my life that matter most. Thus far, at 62, my life has been extraordinary. I'm looking forward to the next 62.".

Spent a wonderful weekend and evening with my son Grant and his lovely bride, Jamay, in Warrenton, OR. But the pièce de résistance was the fabulous meal my son cooked. This restaurant quality meal was not only visually a
This is what I did with all my left over yarn from other projects. Larksfoot Scrap Afghan. 17 different colors repeated 4 times.
My second scrap afghan completed. Throw size (38" x 48" approx.) Abstract Cat stitch using eight left over blues and teals. I vowed not to buy any more yarn until I've used up my left over yarn. I still have enough yarn
Just finished my scrap "Mile-a-Minute" baby afghan. 55 rows; 6 colors, 2 strips each. I still have lots of yarn to use up. On to my next project.
I finished Danielle's African Flower (Fall Colors) afghan while visiting my grandson, Orion, and his family. Danielle will have to wait until I return home.
Tree Creatures at Multnomah Falls.
My Chance and Dolly Parton (the dog) look enough alike to be related. But while Dolly Parton (the dog) acted in several episodes of "Hart of Dixie", making her owner some nice cash, Chance's talent is jumping on the sofa a

I bought 6 skeins of Red Heart “Snooky” yarn on close out 6 months ago for a baby afghan I wanted to crochet. Half way through I realized that 6 skeins weren’t enough and it was impossible to purchase more. I put the unfi
I thought I would try a new pattern. African Flower Granny Square. This is true baby blanket size 33" x 36".
Just finished a Waterfall Ripple Afghan to keep one of my dearest friends, Diane Cunningham, warm on cold nights. Not that she'll be all that cold in Hawaii. :)
Chance, still a bit wet from his much needed bath. Unbeknownst to me, he thought it would be a good idea to roll in elk poop while we were out walking on the Anderson property in Warrenton this weekend. I wondered where t

This is what I woke up to this morning. Won't be going anywhere today. I guess a Netflicks "Bloodline" marathon is the order of the day.
