Lynda's Story

I am not Lynda Cody. I went with her and was looking for her but as you can see unless it is like the Johnny Cash song The Girl Named Sue, I am a man and Classmates goofed up. I am a third generation writer. Published. I had very few friends at Pontiac Central as I worked as a pharmacist's assistant while attending my senior year and was so doped out on drugs and alcohol that I was usually passed out from OD's. I had my own apartment and was legally emancipated. I had three study halls and was called to the office and it was explained to me that they did not know how it escaped their attention but I'd missed more than the days allowed and if I skipped one more class or came in late one more time I'd take my senior year over. I left Crowell's office and said Hi to Noreen Green on the way out, the attendance secretary. She asked if we could get together again. Sure. Now you and I know why it escaped their attention. I got the job at St. Joseph's Mercy due to my DuPont scholarship. The highest at Lake Shore High in six years in St. Claire Shores. A 99 final exam average. My favorite memories of Pontiac Central were the graduation parties. Again, I am not Lyda Cody, I am Art O'Shea. Dunno, but I read Catch-22 seven times that year. Liked Bond, James Bond, stirred ...Expand for more
not shaken. Took six different girls to see Goldfinger. Starting a publishing corporation like my Dad did and made his first million. What would surprise people, that I lived through it. The wildest thing I ever did in school was I was being blocked by two toughs after being warned about being late one more time. I grabbed them by their shoulders and vaulted them behind me down the concrete stairs and ran to class with the pull energy from catapulting myself on their massive hulk. By the time I was 16 I lived in two different countries, four different families, foster homes, military school 23 homes 19 different schools and had a long list of ultra violence. I learned four forms of marshal arts at age 12 and now know six. I have lived all over Canada and the Western States. To be truly happy I'd carry on with my plans. My first crush got arrested for contributing to the delinquency of a minor, she was 21 I was 16. I wear traditional journalist's garb as you can see from the photo. The weirdest job I ever had was dealing for the Colombians for three years until they killed my best friend then the Mexican Mafia came to me and told me I had a great reputation and I worked for them for three more years. My oldest friend is Dan Webster from Lake Shore High, we still communicate.
