Lynda's Story
Life
After graduation rom Pershing High School, I worked as a CNA for handi-cap children and was in the Coast Guard Reserve for 6 years. In 1977, I married a wonderful man who joined the Air Force . We have three children, all extremely gifted in math and sciences. We have lived in many places from Michigan to California. We have been in Florida since 1985. I am now a certified Surgical Technologist, Lab/Clinical Instructor for GCCC Surgical Tech program, and my husband and I have been in the ministry since 1985. I would love to hear from some of my school friends and catch up on old times.
School
Most of my schooling took place in Detroit. I went to Lynch Elementary for grades 2-6. Then I attended Holy Name School for grades 7 & 8. Workplace
I have worked so many jobs; housekeeping, dry cleaning, office worker, etc. My favorite jobs are the ones I have now. The field of surgical tech. has so much to offer. Being in the Operating Room is such an adrenaline rush. You never know what kind of case is coming through those doors at night and it keeps you ready and alert for anything.
Teaching people how to be scrub techs is also exciting. It is a wonderful feeling to share what you know with people and to watch them learn new and challenging tasks.
Naturally, my number one "job" is being a mom to my kids. I find them to be very interesting people and really love to see how their bright young minds are growing and learning daily. With my boys having IQ's above 145 & 160, they are proving to be quite an intellectual challenge and are always coming up with new and interesting ideas.
