Lynda's Story

Life What??!! Twenty years have come and gone?? I sure am glad I got all those wild and crazy nights out of my system. Yup, it took like 15 years to do so. Lisa Ciarlone and I are still the best of friends...What a blessing to have her in my life. Easy to get along with and fun to be around. Well my bio is personal and wordy so grab some wine and sit back I was fortunate with my career choice after High School of Dental Hygiene because it enabled me to live life to its fullest. Lots of vacations to Jamaica and concerts at Great Woods and nights partying with the band Entrain. I worked 15 years in an office in West Newton. At the same time, I ended a long relationship with the wrong guy...then I met the man of my dreams in the bar across from work 6 years ago. (a friend of my friends) We married in 2004. We travelled a bit..Italy twice,(Venice, Florence, Rome, Abbruzzi, Lake Como, Amalfi ) Aruba, Florida, Martha's Vineyard, Cape Cod..Nevis for our honeymoon. I am so fortunate to get such a great man in my life. A true soul mate if you can believe it. During the happiest moment of my life, I also had to deal with the saddest moment of my life. Losing my mom. My mom had been battling lung cancer during this whole magical time. I thought how unfair life can be that some things come in your life and some things are taken away... She was such a strong woman and we had an amazing mother daughter connection. She made sure she was around to help me with my wedding and she was there to see me pregnant...I then decided life is short for my mom and I resigned from my job t...Expand for more
o be home with my mom during her last Good days of her life. I got almost a full year of being with her, taking her shopping, to lunch, to many doctors appts. always trying to make her laugh..It was exhausting for me. I will never regret doing that. I gave back to her what she gave me. Unconditional love and strength and humor (the best kind of medicine) Mom passed away June 26, 2006. 2 months after the birth of my son, James. So again, something was given to me and something was taken away. The Circle of Life they say. So for the past 19 months I have been trying to be a good stay-at-home mom to a child who came out very challenging. We finally found out he has 15 food protein allergies and bad eczema at the time. We have alot of it under control but not a minute goes by that I am not worrying about my kid and what he picks up off the floor or breathes in the air and do I need the Epi-pen or inhaler or just Benadryl...so crazy but I will say I am having fun now. I now realize that thank GOD its just allergies..He is so much fun and I thank God for everything I have in life. They say god never gives you more than you can handle...I hope that is true. If you read this much , I hope my bio didn't bore you or sadden you but just to let you know ....stuff happens....and then you grow from it and move forward.... Looking forward to some Class of '87 flashbacks....and possible playdates with mommies of 2 year olds. Dying to see how everyone gracefully aged...remember to bring your pictures..... Fondly, Lynda Colasacco (Szczawinski) you can find me on facebook too
