Lynda's Story

I have kept a very low profile for the last several years( I know it's hard to believe for some of you) and I am now able to say I am back and feel like I'm finally on the path to getting my life back in order. I was married for over 30 years and I am now alone so obviously my life will never be as it was for the last 35 years. Oh, I almost forgot about the surgery in December which wrappped up the year. The past few years have been the most difficult I have ever experienced, except for the loss of my father many years ago. I really had a hard time believing my good friends and family when they told me "it will get easier and better", but lo and behold, they were right. I am ready for new adventures and ready to see where this "new single" life takes me. Okay enough of the pity pot. Uh oh, I see some ears "perked" up when I said pity p o t. I still live in Mill Creek but would love to move somewhere warmer. I have been thinking about it because I used to have a house in Arizona and I love that climate. I have two awesome sons. The eldest is living in Arizona and is freelancing in the film industry. His job seems to be fun but also hard work. He has worked on some major films with some of my favorite actors. My youngest...Expand for more
is living in California and is an economist. He has his Masters and will be continuing on to New Mexico for his PH.D. this fall. I am very proud of both of them. They take good care of their mom and their remaining grandparents. I am researching going back to school at this "young" age. I truly miss my nursing career but it took a tremendous toll on my back so I retired early. Therefore I am going to look into Midwifery. I love babies, and can"t wait until I am a granny. All of you grandparents are very blessed. My time is coming. I keep pretty busy making jewelry and doing volunteer work in my community, among other activities. I would love to hear from my classmates and even those who weren't in my class. Like I said before, I am definately looking forward to new adventures. Oh, and by the way, I am trying to get some more flattering photos of myself to post because I am the most unphotogenic person I know. Because of this, I have very few photos of myself because I always hid. oh well, life is too short to worry over the petty things, right?? Take care everyone and I hope to join any future activities ( oh shoot, I almost forgot I can't see to drive at night) involving the class of "1969" which in my book is the best.
