Lynda's Story

When you read this it is not all good, its sad and its bad that my life went in this direction when it could have been a great life in the beginning but read and understand this is not the way anyone wants to live their life. I know by having God in my life I have changed 100%. God Bless you all! My name, when I was in High School was Lynda Lowery, graduated in 1968. I met my first husband Jack Bates there and we married in 1968, had a child, Woody Bates in 1969. I worked at Delco for 5yrs and got into a lot of trouble over drugs and drinking after my divorce from Jack which I wish we had had a better relationship with eachother but we didn't, my fault. Jack had taken Woody to raise him and I never saw Woody again for 15yrs. I have great respect for this man even if he doesn't know it, he raised our child. If he reads this I want him to know that and pray that he has Jesus in his life also. The more you think about giving up a child after you have done it, is not only hard on you it is very hard on the child, I am sure. I finally left the state of Indiana and went back to Michigan for a yr. I got into more things like drinking and fights and drugs, so I left there and went to Ariz.I went to jail for 6 hours and I knew my life had to change and soon. When I got to Az. I worked cleaning apt. homes and I was there for 2 yrs. when I met my husband Donald. I was not a perfect person nor am I now, I got into a few hard places I had no business getting into. I gave my heart to the Lord in 1979 and had a another baby, a girl, Natasha who is now 29. I have been married 31 yrs now. I started going to church in 1979 got saved and changed over night from drugs, drinking and fighting and got to the root of my problem, see I lost my mom when I was 12 and had a lot of problems with abuse from my Father and brothers. I didn't know what real love was until I met Jesus Christ. I have been walking with the Lord ever sense. We have ministered to a lot of children how NOT to live you life! I worked at a Christian school in Pecos, Tx for 2 yrs. We then moved to Orange, Tx and I worked in a Christian school there. Left there and went to Carthage, Tx we were full time asso. Pastors there,we lived there for 20 yrs or more and now we have moved to Henderson, Ky and have been here for 3 yrs....Expand for more
Except for when we left to care for a elderly man which had been my pastor for 20 yrs. he had brain surgery and we cared for him until he passed away. Thats when I learned to grow all kinds of food and cook all kinds of foods while I lived in Tx. and to care for the elderly. I have lived in Michigan, Az, Texas, Indiana and now I am living in Henderson,Ky. I have a myspace with the some picture and lots more information about our family. I am now an ordained minister and so is my husband. We have been ministers for about 14yrs. Like I said I am not perfect but I am forgiven. I also was a C.N.A. and van driver for the elderly for years. I have to say that my life working with the elderly was been a rewarding time. I have so much respect for those who are older, they have so much wisdom. I love older people so much wisdom. I love to read the Bible and other books, I love to teach the children,I love to sing and play piano. Mostly I have to say I love to play with my grandchildren and Great grandchildren. I have 10 here in Ky. My life with Jesus is not always easy because I make it hard but I know He loves me no matter what and He will always be here for me. I never wanted anything to do with God I always wanted a farm and no children but I am so happy having Jesus in my life and my children. When I was young and lost my mother, they told me God needed her for another angel, PLEASE NEVER tell your children that, that is a lie! I hated GOD because of it. God is a giver of life, not a taker. You know if I had to say I had a hero I would say it is my husband he is my friend, my lover, my spiritual head and my Pastor and I love him in ways I never dreamed, after 31yrs of not all happy days but growing days. Love is not all an outside attraction, love is what you put into your relationship over the years you are together, and still love eachother no matter what comes into your life to seperate you or trys to distroy your life together. When the enemy comes in to cause problems hang on tight and resist him in the name of Jesus. You have eachother and the grass isn't always greener on the other side trust me I been there to! Come check it out on my space incase you are someone I may remember, and if not someone who would like to get to know. God Bless those who enter here
