Lynell Jackson:

CLASS OF 1988
Richmond, VA

Lynell's Story

Hopefully by the way I treated them and maybe my sense of humor I always wanted to be a soilder when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a good idea. As it turns out, they were right. I like to take drives to clear my mind or even maybe just sitting at home alone meditating Skip class but I got caught by my dad. God! If I'm going to work somewhere, I need to have a good prayer, my wawa coffee, and patience to be able to deal with the day-to-day. My inspiration comes alot from my mom, she is a very strong woman. I was stationed in New Jersey and Maryland I came back home because I was in LOVE!!! The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is everyone in my class, because you lose touch and you just want to know how everyone is doing. I think my biggest suprise was not turning the military into my career. That was my plan after I graduated. If I could improve my home, I'd remodel my bedroom and add on a guitar room for my husband. My dream home would be enough room for everyone to do their own thing. That each one of them are different and they have their own special qualities and I enjoy every moment Mr. Sherman Curl because not saying that the other faculty did not care but I always respected him If I won $100 million, I'd give 10 percent of it to church, then spend the rest on myself, mom and dad and save for my kids future. No I attended a community college. I am already happy where I am and that is with my...Expand for more
family. My current age is 38. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be boring. I was so completely wrong. My goal was to become a Registered Nurse I accomplished that and now I want my BSN. I saw my first crush a while ago and you know the funny thing about crushes is they know. I have not seen him for awhile I hope that he is okay. My best friend would tell you I'm a comedian and for real, but people who don't know me very well would probably describe me as being mean why would that be i have to warm up to you first. No I can afford some thing now!! Thank Goodness After I finished my training in the military I worked at a scrap yard because I was a welder in the military. I share my home with my husband and my children, which I find very fulfilling. No I was not really into sports and my degree and military cerficates are at my mom's house. Maybe I would have traveled a little bit more before having my kids but I still have time and am still young. In 10 years, I hope to be In an offie sitting behind a desk. I'm going to get there by continuing my education. My oldest friend is younger than me I met her at church and have known her for about 15 years. I think we click because we have alot in common. I don't think I look the same. My first job was at Newrich, where I got paid probably 5 dollars plus commission to sell tennis shoes. What I remember most about it is I HATED IT. My long term memory is kind of shot. Sorry
