Lynn's Story

Life I figured it was time to update my profile,as many things have changed over the past few years. After high school I married and had two beautiful daughters. After divorcing in 1982 I began a career in business and worked in several fields including cable television, insurance and the automotive industry. I spend 17 years in the auto industry, most of that time as a business manager, the last 12 of those years working for Ford. I became restless in the 90s and decided to go to college, something I had been putting off since I graduated in 1971. I changed careers 6 years ago and began teaching. I have completed my Master's degree and am currently in the lst semester of a Doctoral program in E...Expand for more
ducation and Organizational Leadership. I currently work for the San Bernardino County Superintendant of Schools as an alternative educaiton teacher, working with at-risk students, mostly those who have been expelled from district classes. In October of 2007, I will begin teaching evening classes for the University of La Verne. My goal in life is to teach the future teachers. Kids today need new delivery methods and teachers who understand and care about them. I hope to provide methods and others who can fulfill the need as our future teachers. I hope to have my dissertation completed and defended by March 2010. At that time I want to teach college full time. Keep a postive thought for me. Lynn
