Lynn's Story

Life After graduation, I attended Angelo State University in San Angelo and got lost in West Texas. I taught school for 14 years here in San Angelo and have been an elementary librarian for the past 13 years. My biggest professional "claim to fame" is that I was involved in our state geography alliance for a numbe of years and worked at National Geographic headquarters in Washington, D.C. one summer. That was a terrific experience. This fall I will be going to Russia for 10 days as part of a delegation of Texas librarians with the People-to-People Professional Ambass...Expand for more
ador Program. I was previously married for 17 years and have two sons. Jason is 19 and in the U.S. Marine Corps. Stephen is 16 and will be a junior this fall. In 1999 while looking for info on the NGHS 25th Reunion I got reacquainted with Mark Butler who was doing the same thing. We'd been friends in high school. We were both single and began a commuting relationship...he works in Austin which is 240 miles from San Angelo. Things progressed and we were married in 2001. We helped get people together for the 25th and are very much looking forward to the 30th.
