Lynn's Story

Life Well, hi to anyone who reads this... I don't know what has come over me... Imagine me on classmates.com. I guess I am getting sentimental and do think of people who I have lost touch with. I just returned to the USA after spending 4 months in Iceland. My only daughter, Ella, (28) had her first child in November. I lived in Iceland for over 25 years. I was married to an Icelander, Villi Knudsen, a documentary film maker, and we had three children, Obbi (31), Ella, and Villi (21). Then, after being there for so long, I got divorced and five years later met my husband, Ron Ryyth. I met him in Iceland where he came to celebrate his 50th birthday... I was having my 50th the same summer (2001) and we fell in love. I moved to Seattle, Wa. and have lived here for the last four years. When I first came back right after 9/11 I got a job with the Transportation Security Administration in their training depa...Expand for more
rtment. Now, I am going back to teaching. I taught English in Iceland and have a WA state teacher's certificate, In fact, I am starting next Monday. I have had these last 5 months off and that is why I have had the time for things like looking up my old classmates. Well, it was a wonderful experience to be in Iceland. The baby is 3 and a half months old now and his name is Kristofer. My oldest son has a little boy and his name is Alexander Odinn. My youngest son, Villi, is here in Washington and is a junior at Evergreen College in Olympia, WA. I go back to Phoenixville to see my mother and sister, Elaine and my brothers. Ellie lives in Virginia. I am not good at keeping in touch with people. I am not perfect but I do care. So I will try to say hello to some of you in the next weeks. Bless (that is Icelandic for good-bye) for now and hope to hear from people who remember me. All the best, Lynn
