Lynn's Story
Life
Well...let's see. I'm turning 42 this year and I still feel like I'm 18. I love life in Calgary, Alberta and I'm happy to be here!
Married for the second time 3 years ago to my soul mate, Mike. He runs/owns a commercial construction company and I work as an Office Manager for an oil and gas company. I have 2 boys from my previous marriage to the biggest a**hole on the face of the planet (God...why didn't anyone stop me?!). They are 18 and 13. My 18 year old and his girlfriend made me a gramma on May 29th with a little granddaughter named Ayla.
Mike and I have made our fortune buying and renovating fixxer-uppers in Calgary. Our latest home is our castle - I'm done with renovating (but not decorating...my other love). We have a golden retriever (who we fondly call our RRSP dog due to 2 knee surgeries in one year). Our passion and our life for the months ...Expand for more
of April to October is fly fishing. We live on the banks of the Bow River and a short drive to the mountains where we fish for wild trout by foot and by boat. We have a trailer that we park in the mountains on the banks of our most loved river and we enjoy the outdoors immensely. I love gardening (although in this province it can be a major challenge at best!) and spending time with my boys and our friends. My life is very full and satisfying and I can't think of a single thing I would change. I'm a very lucky woman and I don't take that for granted.
I'm currently working on not working! Our plan is to retire in another 6-8 years when we can afford to build our dream home on a lake somewhere in the interior of B.C. But we'll see where the future takes us - this part of my life is still very uncertain.
