raduated from Mitchell Community College in 1982 with an Associate degree in Pre-Liberal Arts. I completed my undergraduate work at Appalachian State University in 1985 (Child Development/Elementary Education) and then completed my Master of Arts degree (Early Childhood Education) from ASU in 1989.
