Lynn's Story

Life After high school, I attended Ball State University but wasn't really excited about school. Left after 1 year, then went to work for American Airlines as a flight attendent, proceding to Flight Grooming supervisor at O'Hare. I enjoyed this job. I got married, and we traveled extensively. When I became pregnant with our first child, I choose to be a stay-at-home mom. I loved this, we had two more children and raised them in a small town in Illinois. After the children were all in school, I went back to college and graduated the same year my oldest graduated from high school. I have been teaching 6th grade in Moline, IL, and just completed...Expand for more
my masters. I love my job, and feel that I have experienced the best of both home and work. I'm currently working on more graduate hours, and who knows where this will take me. My husband and I will celebrate 40 years of marriage this fall. Our grown children have located around the country. Our son is in Minneapolis, MN. He is unmarried. Our middle child and her husband are living in Columbus, OH. Our oldest and her family have just relocated in Norway. My husband and I plan on making a trip this spring. I always wanted to be a teacher when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a great idea. As it turns out, they were right.
