Lynn's Story
Life
Well let's see. I had a good life with a lot of good times. Got married at 45 and had my first and only child at 46. Had a wonderful husband that left me all too soon in November of 2005. He was ill for awhile but getting along fine but due to some emergency I lost him. I am devastated and so is my daughter. We will work it out in time.
I was a teacher in Emerson High School for 34.5 years and recently retired in June of 2005. Now you might say that I am a lady of leisure. Iwent to the 40th reunion and saw so many of our old friends their.
I love the theater and go often, aftet all I did join all the plays in Emerson. I was also a Drillette in school. Always and miss noon hour dances. All those things no longer exist in Emerson.
I still live in Union City and will probably stay here. As I love going into NYC and what better place is there then to live that close.
My husband worked for Union City as first a building inspector and then a fire inspector.
I come from an old established family in Union City. So my roots are deep.

10/7/11 Well thought I would update as I am looking forward to our 45th reunion this month. My daughter is now 17 and driving. Also looking forward to applying to college. She volunteers at a grief camp. This camp was established for children that have lost a parent, sibling or...Expand for more
guardian. It is a free weekend camp that helps children immensely. If you want to look into it or have a need for it check out the site comfortzonecamp dot org. She started as a camper when we lost Joe at the age of 11. She now volunteers in NJ and VA as a Junior counselor and looks forward to being a big buddy someday. She also volunteers at "Camp Fatima" this camp is for all types of handicapped children. She is planning to be a Special Needs teacher.
As for me I'm still plodding along. We go on some trips but basically we stay close to home. I am dreding the fact that my daughter will be going away to college. But have to accept it. Hope I will see alot of familiar faces at the reunion.

As for me I am now living life vicariously through her. Trying to remember all the good times I had along the way. Thats it for awhile, will update again when I have more news.
