Lynn's Story
Life
After graduation (what a long time ago), I attended PVCC for a year. In late 1975, I moved with my family to Birmingham, Alabama and married in mid 1976. We had a daughter in early 1978. Brandi was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis at five months of age, but thankfully, she has done quite well and maintained her health. She does have hospitalizations from time to time, but for the most part, she has been able to work full time and attend school. She is a Client Care Analyst at Compass Bank in Birmingham, but is looking for something new.
After being a mom and working, I finally elected to return to school in 1992 and earned my nursing degree in 1995. I have been a registered nurse working in the operating room since that time...Expand for more
. In 2001, I decided to try travel nursing and have really loved it. Oddly enough, I have spent most of my time in Richmond, VA working at Chippenham and MCV. I enjoyed my traveling, but decided to accept a full time position at St.Mary's Hospital in Richmond as the Pediatric/Oral Surgery Coordinator. I had a great time at our 30th reunion...
and was lucky enough to renew some old friendships. My biggest news is that Mark Reed and I started dating each other following the reunion and married on August 20, 2005. We had a home built in the "country" and are really enjoying the peace and quiet. The drive to both of our jobs is a bit long, but worth it when we get home in the afternoons! Hope to see everyone at our next reunion.
