Lynn's Story
Life
Hey, for those who might remember, I joined the Navy in the 11th grade and "disappeared"...forever!! Actually, I finished 6 years in the Navy, switched to the Air Force, did 22 years, then retired...sort of!! While in the military, I served all over the world, five of them in Viet Nam...boy, was that an eye opener!! While on active duty, I was an air/sea rescue 63' crash boat skipper, an aircraft loadmaster, loved to fly all over the world!!, a Titan missile crew member, an aircraft maintenace officer, and an aircraft munitions officer, it's great blowing things up!! Did law enforcement for a while, Oklahoma City PD, then Haltom City PD, by Fort Worth, TX, enjoyed the Tarrant County TACT team!! Nothing like kicking in someone's door at 3am!!:-))Then, became a ParaMedic, rode the ambulances for a time, then on to being a registered nurse in the emergency room, then I moved to surgery. Now I am a forensic investigator in Houston, TX...and have found a home!! I am "CSI-Houston" for the Harris County Medical Examiner's...Expand for more
Office. I love crime scenes in the early AM!!! Over 600 homicides a year...this is job security!! When someone has been hanging in the closet for a week, there is no cause for CPR!
I was on an aircraft carrier, the U.S.S. Lexington, most of my time in the Navy. I spent quite a bit of time overseas in both branches, lived in Taiwan, Phillipines, Stockholm, and Turkey for a while. Was Stationed at Eglin AFB, Fla, Altus AFB, Okla, Sewart AFB, Tenn, Lowry AFB, Co, Homestead AFB, Fla, Elmendorf AFB, Alaska, and others. I have lived by my "pager's beep" for so long, I jump up ready to go in a blink!! My life is one "trauma", or adventure, after another...but... FUN...FUN...FUN!!!!! I am on wife #4...and I think this one may work...she is the most tolerant of my crazy lifestyle so far!! Anyway, I'm still looking and thinking about what may be waiting over that next rainbow...another new adventure, I'm sure!! It would be great to hear from old friends. Always wondered what I left behind...sort of...when I had any free time!!
