Lynne's Story
Life
I am where I want to be.....on a small farm in Washington State. My only daughter passed away due to diabetes complications in April, 2020., My indoor passion has been remodeling a dollhouse with furniture I have had since I was 16 yrs. old. Most of it purchased at the Thrifty Drug Store on Western Ave. in San Pedro, CA. Been working for the Dept. of Energy the last 30 years and really like my job. I retired June 30, 2016 and loving it. From my living room window I watch the deer come through and the Blue Heron land in the pond and wonder where all the years have gone and where are all my classmates! I hope all is going well in your life as well. I am now showing and breeding my Pembroke Welsh Corgis...and loving retirement! Unfortunately I went thru a quadruple by pass on my birthday 2019. So moving a little slower these days. Met a really great guy four years ago named Mike. He completes my sentences and enhances my life.
Hope to see you at the next reunion.
School
From...Expand for more
Seaside Elementary to Calle Mayor Elementary to Point Vincente, to Palos Verdes High, to Harbor Jr. College to Schiller College in Paris, Marymount College and on to Cal State San Bernadino, it was quite an experience.....wish I could do it all over.
I am listed as going to South High but really never attended. We moved but South High is where a lot of friends went (coming out of Calle Mayer), so if any of you are out there I would love to hear from you!
Skip forward to August 2012, I was able to visit with Sheila Boyd...we reconnected through classmates a few years ago and have been communicating via the internet. She lives near the Yosemite and does the most fantastic artwork on cars, motorcycles, furniture....what a very talented soul she is....it was so nice to reconnect with her!
Had open heart surgery in March, 2019. Quadruple Bypass so I'm moving a little slower and more cautious now. Still raising and showing my Pembroke Welsh Corgis and enjoying life on the farm. Love to all!
