Lynne Oldre-Mortenson:  

Graduated in '74 from Mayo HS, Attended Rochester Vo-Tech 74-75, Married in '75, moved to North Carolina in '76, my son was born in '78 in Spruce Pine, NC. Whew! The 70's were busy for me! Divorced in '80, moved back to Rochester with my son. Worked full time most of my life, re-entered college in '86 to begin graphic design training. Worked for various newspapers, printing companies, and advertising agencies as a designer, as well as freelance. Celebrated my 11th anniversary with HR at Mother Mayo doing graphic design in 2015. Have always been a music fan and rock and roll girl, but came over to the "blues" side about 25+ years ago. Don't get me wrong, I still love Rock & Roll and a wide variety of music! Bringing Americana/Roots/Blues music to the masses via a local music fest in Rochester annually second weekend in July. I was president of the Hambone Music Festival for seven years, and have worked on the board of directors a total of 15 years. A number of our Mayo HS alumni have come out to enjoy the weekend fest and get reacquainted. I've been very involved with live music all over southern MN and the Twin Cities. Many vacations are spent at music festivals throughout the midwest, or favorite music destinations such as Chicago & New Orleans...Expand for more
