Lynne's Story
As I scrolled down the list of names in "classmates," I was reminded of how great it was to be a part of Greendale High and the Greendale community growing up .so many fond memories!!
After attending the University of Wisconsin in Madison with several other Greendale alums, I happily began my career as a teacher at the Greendale Intermediate School, working with some of the dear teachers I had in elementary school, many of whom the class of 1967 would remember¿.Art Nevela, Don Baumgart, Pat Hofrichter, John Munger¿ .. While I enjoyed this experience immensely, it was short-lived as my husband was in the US Air Force at the time, and we had to move frequently during the years of the Vietnam War. The guy who replaced me when I left Greendale Intermediate was a brand new teacher named Pete DeRubies. He later became the principal at Greendale High, so I obviously did a good job of selecting my replacement!! In the years following, I had some great teaching experiences in Arizona, Illinois, and Washington, primarily as a bilingual teacher for Hispanic children in schools where preserving the child¿s first language was deemed to be important

BA degree, I served as the executive of a property and casualty insurance company in Chicago for nearly a decade. In 2000, I moved on to the world of business consulting at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP and Navigant Consulting and began providing business advisory services to insurers and other segments of the financial services industry. Today, I am a principal in my own consulting firm with offices in Chicago and fully enjoy the personal and professional freedom this allows. I love what I do and have no intention of retiring.
My husband and I have one wonderful son, Matt, who lives in San Diego, works in the world of investment banking, and is an alum of the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. We are looking forward to grandkids, but first need a daughter-in-law. We are very involved in our community here in St. Charles, Illinois, but always love to visit Greendale and our family. The Prescott family is always together in Greendale for the Fourth of July!! My parents remained in Greendale until 1998, but moved close by to Greenfield. Sadly, my mom died in 2008, but my Dad is in great health and enjoys life to its fullest. I wish my old Greendale friends all the best.
