As I scrolled down the list of names in "classmates," I was reminded of how great it was to be a part of Greendale High and the Greendale community growing up .so many fond memories!! After attending the University of Wisconsin in Madison with several other Greendale alums, I happily began my career as a teacher at the Greendale Intermediate School, working with some of the dear teachers I had in elementary school, many of whom the class of 1967 would remember¿.Art Nevela, Don Baumgart, Pat Hofrichter, John Munger¿ .. While I enjoyed this experience immensely, it was short-lived as my husband was in the US Air Force at the time, and we had to move frequently during the years of the Vietnam War. The guy who replaced me when I left Greendale Intermediate was a brand new teacher named Pete DeRubies. He later became the principal at Greendale High, so I obviously did a good job of selecting my replacement!!
