Lynne's Story
After moving away from Wauwatosa in 10th grade to Portland, Oregon, I graduated from Lake Oswego High School. I got my undergraduate degree in Physics and French (was in French club at TosaEast). Then I went to graduate school in Engineering at Columbia University in NY. I worked for Rocketdyne for 28 years in Southern California as an engineer and manager on all kinds of rocket engine hardware. I was married for 21 years and now live in Seattle working for a small commercial aerospace company, Blue Origin, with the goal of safely flying humans ...Expand for more
to space at a reasonably accessible cost. I'm active in sports - rowing, running, hiking, working out, and I love dogs and volunteer at the animal shelter/humane society. I have 2 of my own rescues (poodle mixes), Groucho and Chloe!
At Tosa East, I was on the girls JV basketball team (I'm still 6 feet tall!), worked in the theater dept doing costumes for "The Prime of Miss Jean Brody", was in the AFS club (went to Germany for an AFS summer term after I left Wisconsin), and probably generally made a fool of myself being a nerd! Nothing's changed!
