Lynne's Story
Life
I live in lovely but hot Columbia, SC. My husband, son, dog, and cat love it here because we are 2 hrs. from the mts. and the beach. We moved here in 1999 after a 9 year stay in Atlanta. When we moved, I retired teaching after 30 years in the English classroom, grades 6-9. In Atlanta, I taught at a well-known prep school, the Westminster Schools. I loved it! Prior to that I taught 22 years at a jr. high in Arlington, Texas. Larry and I never thought we would leave Texas--still have our families there. However, moving has been great for us. d loves to have a good time thus he experienced sco. pro. Nevertheless, he is a great kid. I spend my time gardening, reading, golfing, and trying out the occasional new recipe. Also, I spend a lot of time painting, mostly crafts. I have some of my stuff at an antique shop in Camden, SC. Currently, I am refinishing furniture and repainting a bedroom just for the fun of it. My friends tell me I have too much time on my hands, but I disagree. There's never enough time to do what I want to do, much less need to do. I love the golden years.
