Mary's Story
Hello MacArthur High Schoolers, As a 1973 graduate, I, Mary Lynn Dobson Adams, moved on to being a Registered Nurse with a BSN degree from UT Tyler. I married my high school sweetheart, Kevin Adams, and we had two sons who married lovely women and have presented us with four wonderful grandchildren.
I have had many work experiences throughout my life, but Kevin has made it possible for me to be a wife and "grandmama", so I keep the home fires burning, since his employer required a lot of travel. I have had the privilege of traveling often with him.
We continue to reside in Texas and our son and families are all within two hours of us.
We have been richly blessed in our life together and I hope that you have been as well.

15, by a fall from a ladder, causing a fatal head injury. We continue to be blessed that his wife and daughter are still as close to us as ever. Our youngest son and his wife and 3 children live only 20 minutes away. We sold our home in Austin TX and moved to a ranch southwest of San Antonio. We are no longer doing a lot of travel, due to Covid. We have stayed well and are loving our ranch life. Kevin retired after more than 25 years from the automation technology firm just a year ago (Feb 2022). With our large ranch, we have begun beekeeping. What a joy! It is fascinating. It requires you to be quiet and peaceful as you work with the various hives. They even develop their own personalities as the thousands of bees live in each hive.
