Madeleine's Story
Married twice, divorced twice. Had 2 sons (Phil and Jesse) with first husband. No children with second husband. Worked numerous jobs .. primarily with State of California as a stenographer then clerical supervisor and Office Tech. Took disability retirement in 1998
Raised Phil's twin daughters Amie and Wendy (born 1987). Baby sat Jess' 3 boys Gabriel, born in 96, Christian, born in 1998, and Isaac born in 1999 for about 2 years. I
n Oct., 2010, relocated to Cairo, Egypt (granddaughter Amie married Ahmed Seoudy there) for what was expected to be a few months .. due to the revolution and other circumstances, we ended up living there 3 years. Saw some scary situations during the revolution while we were there.. In June, 2013, the US Embassy strongly suggested we return to the States as they could no longer guarantee their ability to protect us in Egypt. Amie and I returned about October, 2013. ...Expand for more
Ahmed was able to get his passport and visa and joined us in Sacramento on December 23, 2013.
He got a job in Virginia and moved there in Feb, 2014. Amie and I took care of moving our things to VA and rejoined her husband on April 1, 2014 and we have been living in Virginia since. As it happened, Ahmed's job was in Ashburn - where his father had relocated after being kidnapped twice 3 weeks apart in Egypt.
Granddaughter Wendy living in Tennessee with her husband (Andrew Kosnaski) and his 2 sons (Kurt 16 , and Nick, 9 - makes me a great grandmother) . . My youngest son married the 2nd time in September, 2015. A widow with 5 children, 4 still at home. They come from Pemangkat, on Borneo - about a straight line flight east of Singapore.
Moved into a retirement center 13 months ago. Amie lives 2-1/2 miles away and comes over generally 3 days a week as my care giver.
Guess that's it for now.
