Madlyn's Story
Life
My Husband, James Taylor, and I live in Indianapolis Indiana. We married in May 17th 1997 at the Purdue Memorial Union. It has been 11 happy years of marriage and friendship. We met at Purdue University and ironically we were best friends for years before we even started to date! Ironically, the two of us had known several of the people we had once dated. We figure God must of had plan for us that we just had to had the patience to see whom He had chosen for us. Some close friends to the both of us stated that we were so compatible that we should date and it all worked out! What more could a gal ask for but to marry my best friend that is a Godly, loving, attractive man that also loves Star Trek.
I graduated from Purdue with a Teaching degree. Dissatisfied with teaching I returned to Purdue University to earn a business degree. I was a Human Resources Manager in an industrial setting for several years before having our Daughter Alexandria.
In May of 2002 James & I travelled overseas & came back with quite a souvenir. Now, I stay home with our Little Blessing and Souvenir named Alexandria. As of June 2008 I still stay at home with our Daughter. Now, with the support of my Husband, James, I am home schooling... it has all come full circle and I am teaching again. God definitely has plan but, it can sometimes be difficult waiting to see what will happen next.
I met up with some previous classmates of mine a couple of years ago and recently we had revisited how we had all changed so vastly in the past 15 years. I know I am still outgoing but I am more laid back, I choose to be argumentative only a rare...Expand for more
occasions, and try to emulate a more Christian personality (this of course a continual work in progress).
I have joked with my best friend from high school, Sherry, that I started intensive counseling and a lot of prayer in later college that I, my personality, could not continue down the road I was on at that time if I wanted a life time of happiness. I often wonder how people close to me tolerated me when the extremes of my personality came out. I am still passionate about specific things however, I am more thoughtful and reserved when and to whom I express my thoughts too. Realizing the I had some biological issues, like ADD, and some social behaviors that needed to be controlled and modified was a life changing event. Also, learning to take personal responsibility and not projective my failures or hang ups on others. So, to anyone out there reading this if I did do anything to hurt you I am sorry as there is no excuse to hurting another person.
These are a few of my favorite things: time with my Husband James, just being with my family, volunteering at church, participate in Bible studies, scrap booking, gardening, read a lot of autobiographies, get togethers with friends and family, and sitting around the fire and just talking.
As of June 2009 we are expecting our second child. We found out we are having a boy and we are so excited to be adding another angel to our family.
Well, I would welcome anyones emails as I look forward to re-connecting and for making new friends. By the way if I do not email you back right away please do not be discouraged as I will reply soon.
God Bless!
