School
School was just something I had to do in between the wild weekend plans. I wish I had taken it more seriously now but I certainly don't regret all the fun I had! I have fortunate to have great kids who haven't put me through that! After moving my kids around so much in the military, I realize how fortunate we all were to be able to go to a small school in a town where everyone knew everyone. The bonds we made going from elementary to junior high and on to high school together will last a lifetime. I know I was a crazy child in high school but I just hope people realize how different I am now as an adult. One lesson I have learned in life is that everyone changes. You have to take the time to get "reacquainted" with that person to really understand who they are today.
College

now pursuing my MBA - Public Administration. I actually like school now that I don't have all the distractions I had in high school. I was too busy having fun to take school seriously back then.
Military
The 4 1/2 years I spent in the Marine Corps were the best years of my life. I got to travel to places I'd never normally have gone to and made friends that will last a lifetime. The experience helped me to mature and has positively affected my work ethics. Many people don't appreciate what military servicemen and servicewomen sacrifice for our great country. Many also do not understand what the families of our active duty personnel willingly sacrifice while their spouse/son/daughter/sister/brother serve. I have served on active duty and was also a military spouse for almost 15 years after that. You don't have to agree with the politics but it wouldn't hurt to appreciate the sacrifices given for the many freedoms you and your children are enjoying.
