Maggie's Story
I was Brian Fields' girlfriend and later became his wife of 13 yrs. We are divorced but still friends. I have 3 grown children and 4 sweet little granddaughters. I've had a lot of physical struggles many of them due to a life long battle with many kinds of abuse perpetrated by many different people; some were strangers and some were people I knew. I put all of that behind me when I spent time in battered women's shelter after one of my marriages and turned to my love and gift of writing to help others through the same things I'd been through. Its not baggage but rather pieces of history. I have a website that is for the purpose of helping those who have not yet found their way out. It's a bridge to hope dot com.
I'm single and dating and enjoying my family and friends a great deal. I'm still me but without hiding anymore.
hmmm. well, one Labor Day weekend, Janet Copeland and I went skating during the Jerry Lewis Telethon and there were a couple of radio dj's there. Janet won a record for having the least amount of clothes on and I won mine for being the friendliest one there. Later that night I got left at the rink by mistake and ended up riding with someone I didn't even know. Ugh.
My favorite way to relax is to lay in the sun ...Expand for more
at a pool. Take a dip now and then but fall asleep in the sun.
Hero's always let you down at some point. The only true inspiration is God.
My obsessions? Great Danes, Chiefs football, KU b'ball, my computer, reality shows, classic rock, soft rock and 70's rock and writing self help and children's stuff.
If I could improve my home, I'd remodel the kitchen and add on a bedroom. My dream home would be in the mountains.
I've learned that you can't hammer jello to a tree. Whatever you try to do, it always goes a different way. I've learned to be absolute with some flexibility. Love always. When you love your kids, be sure to give them the opportunity to love you back.
If I won $100 million, I'd give 10% of it to the church, then spend the rest on obligations, nessessities and investments.
I've worked some very hard jobs along the way and am now disabled.
My best friend would tell you I'm a survivor, but people who don't know me very well would probably describe me as sweet and cheerful.
What style? I thought today's style was to wear whatever you want. lol. Does that tell you anything? lol
I share my home with myself only, which I find lonely at times.
I can't. Thats personal and sort of sad. He will always be my friend no matter what.
