Mandrea's Story
I lived in Franklin Square,Bellrose Queens,No. Valley Steam.I now live in South Florida for about 12 years.
I moved hlere to take care of my parents(mom) then when she passed away in 2000,I looked after and took care of my dad,Who passed away in 2006.
I got tried of trveling from new york to florida 4
times a year to check to see how my mom was doing and my daughter was going to enter kindergarden
at the time,so we decided to move also the last big
snow storm that year really made up our minds to
move. Tired of the cold weather,love the sunshine,
Learned to deal with the hurricanes,It really brings out all your neighbors before and after a hurricane,
and we make the best out of them,tell my girls
ages now 16,10. that were having a hurricane party!!
Now my husband doesn't have to put wood on the
windows anymore for hurricanes,we got impact(hurrican Windows this y...Expand for more
ear,only thing is my 10 year was dispointed when I told her we weren't putting up the wood anymore,why because all her friends decorate the wood each time before the hurricanes
and draw on it ect. hopefully she's over that.Now I think the whole neighborhood might join us next hurricane(hopefully we don't have one for 10 years)
as my 10 year old thought she'd invite everyone to
see the hurricanes throught our new hurrican windows!!!!!!!! Can't figure kids out.Asking about my dream home,I wouldn't really change Much of my home,would love to update the kitchen.I love were I live wouldn't change that.Talk about dress and style tee shirts and jeans,It's funny looking back at how we all dressed in hight school it looks nerdy now.My first job was at foodtown on woodfield road,I was a cashier,I remember when after work we go into the city,china town and eath at wo hops??
