After leaving EC for the Navy, it turned out to be one hell of a decade to be in the military. Had I graduated in 62, things would have been quite differant, espcially for a young man, no, actually a teenager. To grow up and go places that I had only read about in Geography, History and other classes at ECW,ECR, HHS. Doing a technical profession that I thought I did not have the where-with-all to learn, much less do and become accomplished at doing it. I had gone to war, gone on missions to Africa (The Congo), Laos, Cambodia, Thailand and even some small countries in the Far East no one heard of, all before Vietnam.
