Marc's Story
Hello to all my classmates from Morris High School ( The main building and the Annex, remember that?) The last time I was in the Bronx I drove by there, on Morris Avenue near 170th st. It looks like the school has been converted into a church. I still have fond memories of that place. Presently, my family and I live in Glendale, Arizona.I'm not far from Phoenix. As a matter of fact, going from Glendale to Phoenix is like going from 174th st to Simpson St. on the No. 2 train. And yes, it gets hot out here but at least I don't have to deal with the snow. And if I want snow I just drive a couple hours north to Flagstaff. I love it here and with the exception of visiting my family in New York from time to time (and, hopefully, coming back at least one more time for Founders' Day in Croto...Expand for more
na Park)I have no plans to return to the East. I moved here because I always wanted to live in the West and I wanted to be more actively involved in the ministry in which I was serving and it was located in Phoenix. After 25 years with Verizon I retired, packed up and my family and I moved to Phoenix and later Glendale. I now work for the Glendale Union High School District as an Instructional Aide in the ELL Dept. at a local high school. I really enjoy working with the kids I've had the opportunity to meet. They come from all over the world. And in 2001 I answered the call to ministry. Two years ago I became ordained so now my plans include finishing seminary within the next few years.
That's it for now. To all from the class of 74, take care and God bless.
