Marc's Story
Life
Basically after high school I went to Algonquin college and studied alarm systems technology.Graduated from that course in May 1995 and worked in the field for about 7 months before being laid off.All that time I was still in the Army Reserve which I left in Dec. 1999.Never got to go overseas while in,but I did manage to play with some neat toys and met alot of good people who are still very good friends till this day. After being laid off in the alarm field I started working at the airport here in Ottawa as a ramp serviceman for a handling company(load-unload bags, service lavs and water, tow airplanes)so most likely I will probably have handled your luggage or worked ...Expand for more
a flight that you were on at some time in the past 10 years. After about a year and a half or working for that outfit I moved to the ESSO dealer on the airport and spent about 9 years fuelling planes and helicopters from the smallest Cessna 150 to the Boeing 747.Most of the job at ESSO was in handling private, corporate and military aircraft,Many celebrities I have met,Ozzy Osbourne,The Rolling Stones,Bill Clinton,Nelson Mandela and the list goes on and on.Also handled the Ottawa Senators flights every season.I have since left the airport as of October of 2005 and I now work for OC Transpo as a bus operator and I believe that this will be the long term job until retirement.
