Marc's Story

Life Well hello everyone! I hope that each of you have been blessed. At the completion of high school I was part of an musical group that played the Georgetown Club circuit for several years. Moving into the world of business I've held the positions (in a number of different companies) as General Manager, Director of Training, Director of Human Resources, Director of Account Development, Educational Consultant, Senior Advisor and Regional Vice President. For the past 20 years I have been President/CEO for M. Douglas Clark and Associates (DBA: SmartBizzOnLine.com as of 2005) We are a service oriented consulting firm that aids in the development and education of management, supervisory and employee personnel. We development training and educational workbooks and manuals for a wide variety of industries. Also provide keynote speakers, faciliate seminars and lead training workshops on a variety of topics. I am a published author of three books (Smart Management, The Manager's Toolkit, SmartBizz Strategies and A Father's Word to His Children), public speaker and conference presenter (over 4,000 presentations in the past 15 years). My work has allowed me to do international travel to such places as Lithuania, Germany, China, India, Thailand, Taiwan, Canada, England, Japan, Mexico, Africa, Italy, Netherlands, Gibralter, the Caribbean, Spain, Panama, Peru, Finland, Puerto Rico, India, Dubai, Korea, France, Jamaica, Trinidad, Barbados, and Switzerland. I have 6 children (Renee, Noelle, Marc, Abigail, Kelli and Kristian) and 12 grandchildren(Mitch, Nick, Zack, Abby, Deanna, Christina, Devon, Leland, Aubrey, Sydney Rain, Daniel and Warren). We also added our first great grandchild recently, Tillie-Marie Ruslander. My wife Penny is someone you would like to meet. She's bright, compassionate, loving, hard worker, wonderful mother and holds a special place in my heart. (She stole it the first moment I laid my eyes on her. There is truth about love at first sight). She is a strong corner stone as well as pillar for our family and our marriage. Penny is my best friend whom I love deeply. She is strong in her Faith and is a woman of integrity, honesty, and commitment. I we are married 100 years it will be too short of a time. A true blessing. All my successes are due to my Faith and Christian walk. I live three scriptures that I call my life verses: Psalm 27:4 is my personal verse (THERE IS ONE THING THAT I DESIRE OF THE LORD THAT I WILL SEEK AFTER, THAT I WILL DWELL IN THE HOUSE OF THE LORD ALL THE DAYS OF MY LIFE, TO BE HOLD THE BEAUTY OF THE LORD, AND TO INQUIRE WITHIN HIS TEMPLE), Joshua 24:15 is my family verse (AS FOR ME AND MY HOUSE WE SHALL SERVE THE LORD) and Psalm 63:7 is my work verse (BECAUSE YOU HAVE BEEN MY HELP I WILL ABIDE IN THE SHADOW OF ...Expand for more
THY WINGS AND BE JOYFUL. Daily prayer and fellowship with the HOLY SPIRIT is the foundation on which we as a family build our lives. There is truth in the scriptures that say SEEK AND YOU WILL FIND, KNOCK AND THE DOOR WILL BE OPEN, ASK AND YOU WILL RECEIVE. This is what gives us the depth to deal with all challenges. We have been blessed with the Fruit of the Spirit and Gifts of the Spirit. It is a deep responsibility to use these for the welfare of everyone. It is amazing what you can accomplish if you just truly abide in the Word and yield to the Spirit. There is nothing like it. We live in the Blue Grass State, Kentucky, in the small community know as Franklin. Population is just shy of 7,000. We are on the KY state line just 40 minutes from Nashville, Tenn. It is a great place to raise a family and enjoy life. We share our home with our collie Twix (offical name Lord Twix of Creekwood Manor) and Blood Hound (Belle) I've been fortunate for I like what I do, have a solid marriage, wonderful children & grandkids, have my health, roof over my head, food in the fridge, gas in the truck and most importantly an anchored faith. How can one may be so blessed?...:0) Would be great to hear from any or all of you. Wishing you well, God Bless Marc Dr. Marc Clark PS 63:7 School Doctorate I always wanted to be a world traveler when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a great idea. As it turns out, they were right.. It is all a frame of mind. I think about the consequences that will occur due to my actions and act accordinly (Also take a deep breath, take a brief walk, and prayer time). Nothing like it. I have a variety of heros. They come in all shapes, sizes and ages. My loving wife Penny, my children, their children and a group of good friends. My top inspiration comes from Jesus Christ. Because of Him I live a very rich and full life. My cup truly runneth over..:0) No obsessions. I take life a day at a time attempting to make a positive impact and contribution. If I could improve my home, I'd remodel the family den and add on a glassed in gazabo. My dream home would be in the mountains of Switzerland or the southern coast of Spain. That everyone has a dream, they like to laugh, they like to be loved, respected and trusted. We truly reap what we sow! My best friend would tell you I'm a man of faith, but people who don't know me very well would probably describe me as friendly, honest and likable. In 10 years, I hope to be in a deeper, intimate relationship with God. I'm going to get there by Faith, Family & Commitment. My first job was at Safeway, where I got paid $1.65 an hour to stock shelves. What I remember most about it is the boss, Ken was decent.. Almost catching Santa at the tree, Christmas Eve. I was so close..:0)
