Marcelle's Story
Life
Now living in Nova Scotia with my retired mother 93 years old. My parents are originally from Nova Scotia and came to the USA to earn a good living. Soon after my parents retired, they decided to sell their home in Abington and move back "home". My father passed away shortly thereafter, leaving my mother alone.
In 1991 I moved my son and daughter nearby to keep her company. We recently moved in with her. My son age 27 and my daughter 26 still live with me, and my grandaughter is 6 years old.
Its been a struggle raising two children on my own in a region where steady jobs are scarce and cost of living never seems to stop climbing. My ex-husband lives in another province, is remarried and has more children. Thank goodness mine are grown.

uter Systems and Management Support. I work for an internet domain name registry and spend most of my waking hours online.
After graduating from high school, I went to Burdett School of Business and took an accounting course for 12 mos which led to quite a few administrative positions and a few more courses here and there. After moving to Nova Scotia I gained my teaching certificate in Early Childhood Education. I love children, but arthritis reeks havoc with my back and after becoming unemployed, I decided another change in careers was in order. I have been blessed with opportunity, and the love of my family.
I spent one year at Abington High School, two years at Brighton High School and one year at the Mary E. Curley, but if anyone remembers me, be sure to drop me a line. I spent most of my school years in Jamaica Plain at the Blessed Sacrament School from kindergarten to grade 8. It will be great to hear from you.
