Marcene's Story
Life
married 31 years to David Bowman (Cecil) of Newton Falls, 3 daughters, 6 grand daughters and 2 grand sons. We look forward to the future and all that awaits us. Now that the Girls are all Married and on their own We (He and I) take weekend trips without notice. As Jehovah's Witnesses We are Ordained Ministers. Cecil wants to retire from secular work so He can spend More Time in the Ministry. I hope He can do that soon. Our family has grown as the photos show. I want them all to come home, live with us, it is hard to get by in this world especially when you are just starting out. We will add on to the house. I will have ALL my babies around me, I'll cook and we will help each other get through what is ahead of us.
Well love to you all. Keep in touch.
We left Ohio the day we got married way back in 1981. We took our time heading west in a camper Cecil built for us. In Oklahoma we realized the money was low so we planted ourselves and continued to grow our family. We lived in many places in Oklahoma, we started out in Tulsa, moved to OKC or a small city around OKC and stayed there for years. Cecil can fix just about anything so he worked in apartment complexes and that is wher...Expand for more
e we lived. I even worked as a leasing agent in one of them a couple days a week.
I was working at a Waffle House in OKC near where we were living when Cecil's fixing abilities got him a side job. When things broke at Waffle House of course you call the maintenance man but He was not always easy to get to so I was always saying Cecil can fix it. I guess I said that alot. The Manager was listening so when the coffee maker started to spray water into the air He told me to "call Cecil" and get Him here now. I did and He fixed it so that store started to call Him when something broke and the hired help was not available. Cecil made a few extra dollars now and then while building a reputation that would turn into a job when He was in need of one. He still works for Waffle House (over 20 years now). Since Waffle House is all over the place in the central and eastern part of the U.S. when we decided to move back toward Ohio He stopped at Waffle House and got the number of the franchise owner and gave Her a call. She called back when the maintenance job opened and We are now living back in Ohio. Closer to Dayton then to Niles and we are good with that.
