Family:
Married in 1982 to Tim Sheen. Divorced 1992. Sons David (1983) and Andrew (1986). David is currently a grad student at USC (go Trojans) in aerospace-mechanical engineering helping us to understand combustion. Andrew graduated from Clark U (2008) in Worcester MA, studying biochemistry and playing lacrosse. He's working at a biotech firm in the Boston area and has already learned about downsizing. Hello life!
We have lived in Brookline MA since 1993 and in the Boston area since 1968, including Beacon Hill, and college/grad school in Wellesley and Cambridge.

Found a great job with a German biotech/ sample prep company in 1991. I have been with them since -- we were about 75 employees worldwide when I started as a sales rep, and now (2009) have more than 3000 worldwide. I have grown with the company, having served in various sales management positions over the years. I am currently senior sales development manager for the Applied Testing group (forensics, vet diagnostics and biosafety/biosecurity). I spend a lot of time in DNA crime labs these days. The job gives me opportunities to teach, both reps and customers, to learn every day, and to translate life and science for the German and the US sides.
Who could have imagined that spending a year in Germany during high school could have had such lifelong learning and living benefits?
