Marcia's Story

Life After graduation from PHS I attended BYU majoring in art. I married Larry Field also from PHS and took a ten year break in my education. Larry and I have three children, all are married, first grandson is due July 2005. I returned to BYU in 1985 and graducated with a BFA in art, with a k-12 teaching certification. I taught junior high art for 15 years. During this time, I returned to school and got a masters degree in education. I plan to go back again someday and get my MFA. Larry and I moved to North Carolina in July 0f 2004. Our oldest son and his wife live here as well as several o...Expand for more
ther relatives. I am teaching elementary school art and it is a lot of fun. The kids are excited, respectful and willing to try new things. It's refreshing after 15 years in junior high. I continue to produce my own artwork, and seem to keep a few commissions in the works. I work in oil, acrylic and pastels. Sometimes it is the only thing that keeps me sane. I think about old friends from high school often. Those were fun days. Filled with many wonderful memories. I still think of all of us being about 17. Still young, thin and full of life. I guess that is a good way to remember people.
